Question:
How do I add favorites in OpenRoads SignCAD?
Answer:
The purpose of the Favorites menu is to allow users to create and save commonly used signs, layouts and assemblies of objects in arrangements for easy access on future projects. The Favorites menu eliminates the need to browse in Windows Explorer to find a file. Favorites can be used in other signs or as templates for creating new signs. Favorites can save a lot of repetition of work especially when those same elements are used in many signs.
By selecting Add to Favorites, objects in the current workspace will be saved in the favorites list of the currently selected standard. To see the standard being used, pick Preferences>Standard. Favorite objects are available from the OpenRoads SignCAD Favorites menu and its submenus. Favorites are local to the computer and they are saved into a hidden folder: C:\ProgramData\SignCAD\Favorites\[State]\filename.sgn.
Note: To use favorites, click on the Favorites menu and select the favorite you want to place. The favorite will display. With the hand cursor, place the favorite by left mouse clicking at the desired location in your current workspace.
