How to Activate AutoPIPE® |
Subscription Entitlement Service is Bentley's licensing model, providing enhanced security and optimized value for your Bentley Subscriptions. It is integrated with Bentley's Identity Management System (IMS) to allow near real-time reporting of usage, improved alert messaging to users and increased administrative capabilities to license administrators in your organization. It will not only give you more options to monitor and manage usage but also provide new, advanced licensing features that will enhance digital workflows.
Activation
With Subscription Entitlement Service, all users must be registered with Bentley's Identity Management System (IMS) and sign in to the CONNECTION Client to access Bentley applications. Product activation will now occur through user sign-in to the CONNECTION Client with a valid IMS ID associated with their account. User sign-in will replace traditional activation keys, offering enhanced security as administrators will be able to control which users have access to Bentley software. License entitlements are granted and maintained through Subscription Entitlement Service's Entitlement Management Service. By signing into the CONNECTION Client users can also find their organization's projects, download software updates, receive relevant notifications, and track their usage.
Alerts
Subscription Entitlement Service features the new license alerts notifications that can be set by an organization's license administrators to let the users know when they reach a set usage threshold. These notifications will alert the users that if they continue to use the product, a term license may be issued. The user in such a situation has the choice to quit the application before a license is used or acknowledge that a term license may be generated and proceed with starting the application, based on what settings the administrator chooses.
Evaluation Only - No license information
The product will run in evaluation mode.
Go to www.bentley.com to request activation information.
Silent Installation
For SES Licensing:.
AutopipeSetup.exe -s -LicenseType=Connect
The following outline identifies all major errors fixed in Release of AutoPIPE v24.0.0.
- Defect 1353599: BinaryFormatter in .NET is obsolete and insecure, it should not be used.
BinaryFormatter implementation is removed from program. Program will now be unable to open image gallery file created in older versions. To bring those images, open the model and then image gallery in older version of program and copy the images to an image editor (e.g. Microsoft Paint). Now open the model and then image gallery in new version of program and copy the images from image editor to the image gallery.
- Defect 1339114: Incorrect Butt Weld SIF calculation for ASME B31.1 1986.
The SIF calculation for Butt Weld Joint is not in accordance with the 1986 edition of the B31.1 Power piping code.
- Defect 1376192: Misconfigured ASME B31J tees may produce unconservative SIF values.
For B31J models, any two-segmented tee where one segment contains two legs - one run and one branch - can be misinterpreted such that the run leg of the segment will inherit the SIF and flexibility values of the branch.
- Defect 1382809: Converting a Close Miter bend to a Wide Miter bend through Input Grid may result in incorrect SIF and Flexibility Factor
Converting a Close Miter bend to a Wide Miter bend through Input Grid does not update the number of Cuts for the Wide Miter bend. Hence, the program uses the previously defined number of Cuts to calculate the Flexibility Factor and SIFs for the Wide Miter bend. The correct number of Cuts for a Wide Miter bend is equal to 1 therefore using a number higher than this will lead to calculation of incorrect Stress Intensification Factors and possibly unconservative Stress results.
- Defect 1345336: ASME B31.3 Material Libraries: Outdated allowable stress, yield strength, and thermal expansion properties for some materials
ASME B31.3 material libraries may contain outdated properties from previous code editions for some materials. Material properties such as allowable stress, yield strength, and thermal expansion may be inconsistent with the published values for the corresponding edition. The material library B313-20, added in AutoPIPE version 12.08.04, contains outdated properties for materials 22Cr-5Ni, A671-CC60, A672-B60, A672-C60, C12200-B88, B280-C12200, and B241-3003. Whereas the material libraries B313-12 through B313-18 contain outdated properties for the material B241-3003 only.
- Defect 1346363: ASME Flange Analysis: Incorrect bolt effective diameters for Fine and 8-Thread bolts may lead to unconservative bolt tensile stress values
The bolt effective diameters for Fine and 8-Thread bolts are incorrectly using the "Basic Minor Diameter Internal, D1" column instead of the "UNR Design Minor Diameter External, d3" column from the ASME B1.1 2003 standard in the Flange Dimensions Library. The Bolt Effective Diameter is used to calculate the Bolt Tensile Stress. Using the incorrect diameter will result in a lower Bolt Tensile Stress than the correct stress value leading to unconservative results.
- Defect 1334862: ASME B31.4(B31E) & B31.8: Opening older models created between v12.7 & v12.8.4 in v23.00 may give incorrect SIF/stress results
Opening older models created between program version 12.7.0 till 12.8.4 in v23.0.0 does not follow code-recommended SIF reduction. This may lead to incorrect stresses evaluation using the full SIF values. Impacted piping codes are B31.8 (Unrestrained Sustained and Occasional combinations) and B31.4 (Sustained B31E combinations).
- Defect 1350378: Incorrect standard material referenced for SCPH21 in AUTOJSME library
The referenced standard material for SCPH21 in AutoJSME material library is incorrectly set to "LCJ 22". The correct standard material is "LCJ 23". The different between "LCJ 22" and "LCJ 23" is the expansion value, where the expansion value at all temperatures for "LCJ 23" is consistently lower than those provided for "LCJ 22". The maximum percentage difference in expansion value between "LCJ 22" and "LCJ 23" is 3.6%.
- Defect 1369621: Stress calculations may incorrectly use tee local axial force instead of pipe local axial forces
Stress calculations for certain piping categories require the use of pipe axial force in stress calculations e.g. B31.3 Sustained Stress calculations require adding the stress due to axial force from gravity to the longitudinal pressure stress. The axial stress produced by the axial force in the pipe gets added or subtracted to other axial stresses (like longitudinal pressure stress) depending on whether the axial force is tensile or compressive. Program may incorrectly use the tee local axis force for tee branches instead of using the pipe local axis force for such calculations. The sign for tee local axis force is different than the pipe local axis only for tees with the branch pointing towards the tee point. Tee header calculations are not impacted by this defect.
- Defect 1380817: Flexible Joint Report erroneously attempts to use deflections from Mass Point
When printing the Flexible Joint output report, an error in the way AutoPIPE recovers deflection data (translations and rotations) has occurred in models using mass points. The program erroneously attempts to calculate the flexible joint deflections by ranging the near point of the joint with the next available mass point, which has no deflections. This only affects the Flexible Joint report.
