How do I create a space between two horizontal lines in a distance sign with split lines in OpenRoads SignCAD?
Answer:
A 1x1 Tabular arrangement can be used to create the space between the two horizontal lines in a distance sign with split lines.
- Pick the Horizontal line tool and place the first horizontal line in the panel. Zoom in on the end of the first horizontal line where it meets the border. Move the cursor and left click to place the 2nd horizontal line in the panel when the blinking vertical line appears at the end of the first horizontal line. The two horizontal lines should now be side by side in the same row as shown below.
2. Pick the Arrange tool and left click on the workspace. Create a 1 column by 1 row tabular arrangement. Press OK. Right click on the 1x1 tabular and pick Edit Data.
3. In the Tabular Arrangement dialog box, pick the Minimum Size tab. Set the Minimum column width = 60 (1/3 of the overall panel width).
4. Pick the Minimum Space tab, set the Top and Bottom spacing = 10 and Left and Right spacing = 0. Press OK.
5. With the Select tool, select the 1x1 tabular and drag it over the horizontal lines in the panel. Release the mouse button when the blinking vertical line appears between the horizontal lines (you may need to zoom in to see it). The 1x1 tabular will split the horizontal lines apart.
6. Add the remaining legend to the sign above the horizontal lines.
