We are rolling out a new reporting framework starting July 1st to make Subscription Analytics experience faster and smoother. While some parts of the reports—like filters, visuals, and tables—will look a bit different, they will work the same.

Purpose

View the duration of Bentley application usage by user for Cloud Services.  All types of usage of any duration are included in this report, including Trial, Pre-Activation, and Evaluation.

Roles

Users with at least one of the following roles are able to access the report:

• Admins
• Co-Admins

Access

1. Go to the Subscription Analytics reports.
2. Click on the Cloud Services tile.

Filters

Name	Description
Country	User's Entitlement Country or Project's Billing Country
Date Range	Custom date ranges
Product	Product with ProductID
Feature String	Feature String
User	Windows NT user name
Server Type	Server type of the usage such as SES, Hosted, or Deploted
Usage Type	Indicates if the usage was Production, Trial, Evaluation, etc.
Filter by Allocation Group	Toggle that will display Allocation Group in the results and displays the Allocation Group filter

Layout - Summary

This is a high-level summary of the usage during the date range.

Name	Description
Days Used	Number of days at least one user used a product.
Users	Number of users that used at least one product.
Duration	Duration of non-checkout usage in D HH:MM format.*

Layout – Cloud Service Usage

This is a list of the machines that have used Bentley applications and how long they were used on each day

User	The Windows NT user name.
Email	IMS email address. Due to local legal regulations, Germany users will only have their IMS ID displayed.
Project Number	If the usage was assigned to a Project (optional), then the Project Number. This value is not restricted to only numeric characters.
Project Name	If the usage was assigned to a Project (optional), then the Project Name
Server Type	Indicates if usage was Subscription Entitlement Service, Hosted, Deployed, etc.
Usage Type	Indicates if usage was Production, Trial, Evaluation, etc.
Duration	Non-checkout Production duration. If the usage is from a Deployed machine, is non-Production (ex., Trial), or only took place in a single 10-minute interval, the Duration will be populated with a 0. Format of D HH:MM.*

*Bentley’s usage logging system processes and stores data in 10-minute intervals: each hour is split into 6 equal intervals (0-9 minutes, 10-19 minutes, etc.). It is Bentley’s policy to use the 10 minute interval as our most granular time segment. All commercial programs are built using this base data or some higher level aggregate.  We do not store exact start and stop times for applications.
