Licensing, Cloud and Web Services - Product Consolidations

Background

Occasionally Bentley will bring out new products which are consolidations of the functionality of existing applications. The older applications that are being replaced are then known as legacy applications.

When this happens, typically contracts go thru a migration process -

At renewal, old depreciated products are removed from the contract
The new product that replaces older products are added to the contract

Licensing of Legacy Applications

Sometimes (but not always), legacy applications are added as a "child product" of the new application, essentially giving the new licensing the ability to run the older applications it replaces.

Usage of legacy applications will be reflected as the new application in usage reporting, In this regard, you may be generating usage for the new application that you don’t actually have installed.
Any term license usage would be billed as usage of the new consolidated product, not the legacy application.
To find the legacy product that generated usage for the new, consolidated product, you can do a Data Export under Subscription Analytics, For "Machine Usage Data". The resulting spreadsheet will have a column labeled "OrigProduct". Refer to -

Bentley Infrastructure Cloud Entitlement Consolidation

New packaging for Bentley Infrastructure Cloud, including ProjectWise and SYNCHRO went live on December 1, 2025.

For ProjectWise Manage and SYNCHRO Field users, your entitlement will now be shown as Bentley
Infrastructure Cloud Connect.

For ProjectWise Engineer and Validate and SYNCHRO Control Users, your entitlement will now be shown
as Bentley Infrastructure Cloud ProjectWise.

iTwin Capture Modeler Consolidation

Bentley streamlined iTwin Capture Modeler offering. This will make it easier for Users to access the capabilities they need, reduce product complexity, and improve performance across their reality modeling workflows.

Several legacy iTwin Capture Modeler on-prem products will transition to a new, simplified portfolio designed to support both on-prem and cloud processing.

LEGION Consolidation

The two products LEGION Model Builder and LEGION Simulator have been combined into one single LEGION license/subscription.
