Using a tabular arrangement to create a bulleted list

Question:

How do I use a tabular arrangement to create a bulleted list in a sign within OpenRoads SignCAD?

Answer:

1) Pick the Arrange tool and left click on the workspace to bring up the dialog box.  Pick Type: Tabular and select Columns: 2, Rows: 4 (number of lines of text in the bulleted list). Press OK.

2) Right click on the tabular arrangement and pick Edit Data. In the Tabular Arrangement dialog box, pick the Minimum Space tab. Set all of the spacing values = 1. In the Column Alignments tab, select Left alignment for both Column 1 and 2. Press OK.

3) To create the bullet point, pick the Rounded Rectangle tool and left click on the workspace to bring up the dialog box. Set the desired Width, Height and Radius values. NOTE: For a square, set Radius = 0. For a circle, set the Radius to half of the Width/Height value being used. For example, if the Width and Height are 0.5", then set the Radius to 0.25". Press OK.

4) Pick the Select tool and left click on the bullet point to select it. Pick Edit>Duplicate three times to create three more bullet points.

5) Select and drag each bullet point into one of the rows in Column 1 of the tabular arrangement. Release the mouse button on the first bullet point when the blinking box appears in Column 1, Row 1 of the tabular arrangement. Select and drag another bullet point and place it into Column 1, Row 2 of the tabular arrangement. Place the third bullet point in Column 1, Row 3 and the fourth bullet point in Column 1, Row 4.

6) Pick Preferences>Drawing and check Letter Outlining to see white text on a white background. Press OK.

7) Pick the Text tool and left click in to the blinking box for Column 2, Row 1. Press <ctrl>S to set the Text Size and <ctrl> F to set the Text Font. Type the 1st line of text and press <enter>. Type the 2nd line of text and press <enter>. Type the 3rd line of text and press <enter> and type the 4th line of text and press <enter>.

8) If you want to adjust object spacing, select all of the text and bullet points while holding down the <shift> key. Right click and pick Object Spacing. Set the spacing as desired and press OK.

9) Select and drag the tabular arrangement into your signPick Preferences>Drawing and uncheck Letter Outlining. Press OK.

10) Save your file (File>Save As).
