Fonts in OpenRoads SignCAD

Question:

What fonts are included with OpenRoads SignCAD? How do I use other fonts in OpenRoads SignCAD?

Answer:

OpenRoads SignCAD includes the Highway B, C, D, E, E Mod and F fonts.  Each standard within OpenRoads SignCAD uses either the Series 2000 (2K) Highway fonts or the older 1977 Highway fonts as shown below. The program does not support the spacing tables for both Highway font series (1977 and 2000) in the same standard.

The Series 2000 Highway fonts have a “2K” after the font name shown in the object list below the sign.

The 1977 Highway fonts do not have a "2K" after the font name shown in the object list below the sign.

Additional TrueType fonts can be used in OpenRoads SignCAD by selecting the More Fonts button found in the Text Font dialog box. The Font dialog box will list the available TrueType fonts installed in the C:\Windows\Fonts folder on the computer that can be selected and used in OpenRoads SignCAD. Select the desired font, style and size and press OK.

NOTE: OpenRoads SignCAD is compatible with the ClearviewHwy fonts but does not include them. If the Clearview fonts are installed on your computer in the C:\Windows\Fonts folder, but they do not show in the Text Font dialog, then check the standard of your working file since not all state standards in OpenRoads SignCAD have the Clearview fonts available for selection from the Text Font dialog (see Selecting Standards in OpenRoads SignCAD - OpenRoads | OpenSite Wiki - OpenRoads | OpenSite - Bentley Communities).

The following state standards have the Clearview fonts available from the Text Font dialog in OpenRoads SignCAD:
