Question:
How do I use the monochrome feature in OpenRoads SignCAD?
Answer:
The monochrome feature in OpenRoads SignCAD fills the border and objects within a sign with the selected fill color and displays the panel background with no fill color. This feature can be used for printing signs to PDF, exporting signs or placing signs into MicroStation or OpenRoads Designer using the SignCAD MDL.
1) In OpenRoads SignCAD, pick Preferences>Drawing. In the Drawing dialog box, check the Monochrome box, select the fill color and press OK.
NOTE: Check the Letter outlining box if white fill color is selected. If the sign is a multi-panel with more than one panel color, then also set the Multi-panel "Toggle panel missing edges" to "On" and press OK.
2) To paste a sign with monochrome fill using the SignCAD MDL, select the sign in OpenRoads SignCAD. NOTE: Preferences>Allow Panel Selection should be checked to select the sign panel. Pick Edit>Copy. In MicroStation CONNECT or OpenRoads Designer, select the SignCAD workflow and press Paste SignCAD File. In the SignCAD File Open Settings dialog box, check the Color fill box and press OK.
