Creating a new custom arrow

Question:

How can I create a new custom arrow in OpenRoads SignCAD?

Answer:

A custom arrow can be created from any of the arrow styles except the diagrammatic arrow.

1. To create a custom arrow, select a desired arrow style from the toolbar and pick a point on the screen to view its dialog box.

2. Pick Custom from the size or arrowhead field. A Custom arrow dialog box will display all the values that define the arrow. Enter new values as desired. The sample preview will dynamically show the custom arrow when you tab out of the editing field. NOTE: If you enter a value outside of a range constrained by the other values, a message dialog box will notify you, and require you to modify the value before proceeding. You may have to change another value before you can set the current one. Pick OK when done.

3. Enter the angle or orientation in the parent dialog box and pick OK. The custom arrow exists only in the current file, but it can be selected, copied and pasted into other files.

4. To save the arrow for use in other files, save it by itself into a SGN file, which can then be imported into other sign files or add it to the Favorites menu.
