Question:
How do I edit the space between letters in a word in OpenRoads SignCAD?
Answer: The spacing between letters in a word can be adjusted in the Text dialog. The example below shows how to reduce the space between the two C's in the word McComb.
1) Right click on Downtown McComb and pick Edit Data from the floating menu.
2) In the Legend field of the Text dialog box, select Comb and cut it (Ctrl X) so that only Downtown Mc remains.
3) Press the Insert button and pick the After Current String option. Press OK to the Insert dialog.
4) In the Legend field, press the <spacebar> and set the Size = 5.
5) Pick Insert, After Current String and paste Comb into the Legend field. Set the Text Size = 16. Press OK to the Text dialog.
6) The space between two C's should now show 5 as shown below.
