Problem:

A "Required font missing" message displays when opening or importing a sign in OpenRoads SignCAD.

Solution:

Step 1: Press OK to the "Required font missing" message. Click on the Message Center field of the Status Bar to open the Message Center window. Select the "This sign uses unavailable fonts." message and review the Message Details to see the substitute font being used (ex: Arial).

NOTE: OpenRoads SignCAD is compatible with the ClearviewHwy fonts but does not include them. The ClearviewHwy fonts can be purchased from the font owners at https://www.clearviewhwy.com.

 

Step 2: Locate the TTF (.ttf) file(s) for the missing font(s). Right-click on the TTF file(s), then select Install for all users from the menu that opens to install the required font(s) into the C:\Windows\Fonts folder on the computer and use them in OpenRoads SignCAD.

A backup of the Highway fonts (B, C, D, E, E Mod or F) is located in the following folder:
