How to import the chamber from CAD instead of creating a new Chamber in OpenRoads Designer and assign new Feature Definition / Cell to the imported Chamber into the Cell Library.
Please refer to the following steps for import Chamber from CAD file.
1. Go to File > Import > DWG file (Cad data) Once you import cad data, it will require to set level, element templates, cell attributes i.e. connection point, connection region, just to make it as a civil feature to work with Drainage and Utilities inside OpenRoads Designer.
2. Create a cell for chamber in Subsurface Feature Definitions – Metric.cel file which is located in C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenRoads Designer CE 10.11\Configuration\Organization-Civil\_Civil Default Standards - Metric\Cell and save it.
3. Create new Feature Definition in Drainage and Utilities Features Annotations Metric.dgnlib which is located in C:\ProgramData\Bentley\OpenRoads Designer CE 10.11\Configuration\Organization-Civil\_Civil Default Standards - Metric\Dgnlib\Feature Definitions)In Drainage and Utilities Features Annotations Metric.dgnlib ,
4. Go to Element Template and create new template for chamber. Select new created Cell under “Active Cell” for chamber which you have stored in .cel library and save dgnlib.
