Question:

I have installed OpenRoads SignCAD and now when I double click to launch the program, I see the splash screen briefly and then it immediately goes away. How do I fix this?

Answer:

1) This has been reported with users who have the security virus scanner Sentinel, SentinelOne, or Cylance. If you are using a security virus scanner, then you will need to whitelist the OpenRoads SignCAD folder so that the OpenRoadsSignCAD.exe is not blocked. The default path is under C:\.

2) An outdated version of CONNECTION Client can also cause startup issues. Upgrade to a newer CONNECTION Client version (11.00.05.50 or above), log-in to CONNECTION Client and then launch OpenRoads SignCAD.

3) This issue was also reported on WIN 10 computers with OpenRoads SignCAD 10.02.00.11 after the .NET Framework update KB5031041 was installed. It was resolved by upgrading to OpenRoads SignCAD 2023.
