Question:

How do I create a debug file to troubleshoot my workspace configuration variables?

Answer:

  1. Create a copy of the ORD shortcut to your desktop. Typically it resides here: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\OpenRoads Designer\OpenRoads Designer
  2. Rename it "ORD Debug"
  3. Right click on the icon and select Properties.
  4. Go to the Shortcut tab. Within the Target text box add -debug to end. Hit OK.
  5. Double click on the ORD Debug executable and a msdebug.txt file is automatically generated
    1. The black Text Window tells you where this file is saved.
    2. The white msdebug.txt automatically opens
