Dynamic cross section view is blank and missing 3D components in OpenRoads Designer

Product(s): OpenRoads Designer, OpenRail Designer
Version(s): CONNECT
Area:  Cross Sections

Question:

Why are the 3D components missing from dynamic cross section view even though the components are shown in the 3D model?

Solution 1:

One reason may be that the display option in the reference dialogue is disabled. To resolve, ensure the dynamic cross section view is active, pull up the reference dialogue, and enable display option.

Solution 2:

If the 3D components are not showing in the 3D model, users may see similar results in the dynamic cross section view. If this is the case, check the corridor feature definition properties and ensure "component display" is set to True.

After these changes have been made the corridor will need to be reprocessed to see the effects take place.

Solution 3:

In OpenRoads Designer, the ability to delete dynamic views exist as a key-in "geometry dynamicsection deletedxsviews".

After key-in, select "yes".

Solution 4:

This could also be a result of the reference attachment having an option on for 'Ignore Attachments When Live Nesting'. Please refer to the following article for details:

Solution 5:

You can also check if the Feature Definitions have not been deactivated in the Project Explorer:

Solution 6:

Check the following:

1. The Working Units match in all files, including the corridor file and the geometry file.
2. The global origin for all files is not shifted (0,0,0)
3. The centerline geometry is contained in a 2D model
