Question:

When installing OpenRoads Designer, how do I prevent the install from changing the Windows DGN file association?

Answer:

1) Start the OpenRoads Designer installation.

2) When the Installation Wizard opens, click on Configure to change the installation options.

3) To change the application installation location, click the Browse button next to the Application Path. We recommend that you accept the default install location unless there is a particular reason not to. Also select any Companion Features or Companion Applications and then press Next. 

4) Select the Delivered Configuration and press Next. For instructions on creating a custom configuration, see Silent Install/Deployment Image for OpenRoads Designer.

5) In the Features stage the optional features that are installed can be modified. Under Application Options, uncheck File association and press Done.

6) Press Install to install OpenRoads Designer.
