Introduction: The instructions below show how to install TrueType fonts in the C:\Windows\Fonts folder to use in OpenRoads SignCAD.
OpenRoads SignCAD includes the Highway B, C, D, E, E Mod and F fonts that are installed with the program. A backup of the Highway fonts is provided in the C:\Program Files\Bentley\OpenRoads SignCAD 2023.00\Fonts folder in case you need to reinstall them into the C:\Windows\Fonts folder.
The Place and Edit Text dialogs will show the TrueType fonts installed on the computer. Additional TrueType fonts can be used in OpenRoads SignCAD by installing them into the C:\Windows\Fonts folder.
NOTE: OpenRoads SignCAD is compatible with the ClearviewHwy fonts but does not include them. Purchase and download the ClearviewHwy TrueType fonts from the font owners at https://www.clearviewhwy.com.
Step 1: In File Explorer, select the TrueType fonts (TTF) that you want to use in OpenRoads SignCAD. Right-click on the TTF files and pick Install or Install for all users from the menu that opens. This will install the selected fonts into the C:\Windows\Fonts folder on your computer.
Step 2: The installed TrueType fonts will now be available for selection in the OpenRoads SignCAD Place and Edit Text dialogs.
