FAQ: What’s the main difference between the Temporary and Maintain Resource Appearance Profiles? When would I use each of them?

When an object is assigned with a temporary Resource Appearance profile it is only visible DURING the task it is assigned to. It is not visible before or after the task. This would be used, for example, for a piece of equipment that is only need during a single task.

When an object is assigned with a Maintain Resource Appearance profile, it is visible BEFORE, DURING, and AFTER the task it is assigned to. During the task it is highlighted the specified color to indicate that work is being performed. This would be used, for example, to indicate that a wall is being painted or maintenance work is being done on a piece of machinery.
