Resources Wizard and Creating Resources

Create Resource for all “Structural Foundations” 3D objects
- Select one footing object in 3D window
- Reselect it in 3D Objects window
- Use Shift + Left arrow to eventually have the entire “Structural foundations” node selected

- Right click in 3D View or 3D Objects
- Resource Wizard → Material → Assign to Resource, do not build tree

Synchro Challenge
- How many 3D object is Structural Foundation resource associated with?

- Why can’t individual Structural Foundation (footing) objects be selected in 3D View after this Resource is created?
Create Resource for “grade beam” 3D objects
- Select one Equipment object in 3D window
- Reselect it in 3D Objects window
- Use Shift + Left arrow to eventually have the entire “Wall” node selected
- Right click in 3D View → Filters → Isolate Selected, to visually confirm
- ESC and then Window Select (Top right to bottom left) all Equipment 3D objects in 3D view
- Right click in 3D View or 3D Objects
- Resource Wizard → Name “ Equipment” Type “Material” → Assign to Resource, do not build tree
Synchro Challenge
- How many 3D object is Grade Beam resource associated with?

- Can individual Grade Beam objects still be selected in 3D View after this Resource is created? Why?
Create Resources for all “Structure” 3D objects
- Select the node “Structure” in 3D Objects window
- Right click in 3D Objects window
- Resource Wizard → Name “Structure” Type “Material” → Assign to Resource, build tree
Synchro Challenge
- How many 3D object is each Slab resource associated with?

- Does the Slab Resource tree look the same as the Slab 3D Objects tree?
- Can individual Slab objects still be selected in 3D View after this Resource (tree) is created? Why?
- How many 3D object is each "Structural Columns” resource associated with?

- Does the “Structure Framing” Resource tree look the same as the associated “Structure Framing” 3D Objects tree?
- Can individual “Pile cap” objects still be selected in 3D View after this Resource is created?
- What does “limit Resource tree level by __” do?
Create/modify the following Resources
- Create/modify the following Resources and make sure you can still select 3D objects individually.
- Piles
- Roof slabs
- Structural Columns
- Structural framing / beams

- Rename “Structural Foundations” Resource to “Pile caps”
- Understand Resources -3D Objects Relationship.
Select each created Resource, check the following:
- When the Resource is selected, are the associated 3D objects selected?
- How many associated 3D objects are selected?
- Which column indicates number of 3D objects associated with the selected Resource?
- Are they highlighted in 3D Objects window?
- Are they selected in 3D View?
