The Risk Matrix page is accessed by clicking in the "New" button located on the top of the Risk Calculation page.
The risk for each pipe is calculated by combining the Likelihood of Failure and Consequence of Failure, using a risk matrix.
In the top left of the page, the user can define a name for the risk scenario. The name should be as much intuitive as possible, as it will be used in the rest of the application.
Risk matrix is used to calculate the risk grade for each pipe. The risk matrix is composed by two dimensions:
For each LOF and COF intersected grade, and by default, the risk grade is the following (below):
The user has the flexibility to change the risk grade default used in each risk cell by clicking in the small arrow located inside each cell.
The user defines here which is the LOF scenario that should be used for the risk calculation (risk matrix).
All the LOF scenarios (or cumulative) previously created in the Likelihood of Failure page will be listed under the dropdown.
Apart from this, by selecting Custom option, the user can define a new cumulative to be used, by defining exactly which aspect will be used and the respective weight.
The user defines here which is the COF scenario that should be used for the risk calculation (risk matrix).
All the COF scenarios (or cumulative) previously created in the Consequence of Failure page will be listed under the dropdown.
Apart from this, by selecting Custom option, the user can define a new cumulative to be used, by defining exactly which consequence will be used and the respective weight.
Before saving and while editing or creating a new risk scenario, it is possible to have access to a preview of the results in a map view. With this option it is easy to understand not only the number of pipes and length that is affected for each risk grade but also their location.
Click "save" button to save the new risk scenario (will be immediately listed in the main risk page) or click "cancel" to exit the page and return to the previous page.
