Problem

How to apply the swamp factor when using the SCS Unit Hydrograph or the Tabular TR-55 methods?

Solution

The swamp factor is not entered directly in the software and is not used in the generation of runoff hydrographs. To account for swampy regions in a catchment area using TR-55 Tabular or SCS Unit Hydrograph methods, adjust the CN and Tc values accordingly.

In PondPack, the swamp factor is a variable which is only associated with the TR-55 Graphical Peak method which can be accessed by going to Analysis > Calculators > TR-55 Graphical Peak and Storage > Inflow
