In WaterSight it is possible to join some specific network sensors, large customers sensors or zones together by creating user defined groups (or tags), so it becomes much easier to search and filter by some of those in the application. The groups are very flexible, this means the user can create any group and give it any name. Besides this a sensor can belong to one or multiple groups simultaneously. Some examples can include for example grouping all the sensors that belong to a specific pump station, or to a specific water treatment plant. Or grouping all the sensors that belong to a specific zone or town. These are just examples, and as previously mentioned the user can create any group and give it any name.
Once groups (or tags) are created, those will be available in the Network Monitoring pages, within the Maps and Graphs pages.
Once in the map page, under the sensors or zones or large customers tab, enable the filter button so that you can look for all sensors that belong to a selected group or tag. The user can select multiple groups and the condition OR or AND. Once groups are selected, the list of sensors on the side panel as well the sensors displayed in the map will update so that only those sensors will get displayed. An example below.
Once in the Graphs page, on the top, the user will find a dropdown button to select the groups. The user can select multiple groups and the condition OR or AND. Once groups are selected, the list of graphs displayed will update so that only those sensors will get displayed. An example below.
User defined Groups or Tags can be defined in the Sensor Configuration, Zone Configuration and Smart Meters Configuration pages, under Administration. Please note that if no Tags are defined under sensors administration, this option does not appear within the application.
Those Groups or Tags can be manually created one by one by clicking in the the desired row of the table, and in the side panel by manually adding the several Tags or Groups to that sensor. A more automated way to achieve this is to download the configuration template from the administration, and fill in the excel, in the the Sensors tab (or zone tab or smart meters tab), the Tags column. It is possible to add multiple tags to the same sensor by adding the several tags separated by a comma, as displayed in example below.
