Problem

How can I be alerted when a new version/update is available for my OpenFlows product?

Solution

Alerts on new releases can be delivered via our Blog or the CONNECTION Client. Information about what's new in a particular release can be found in the respective "What's new?" article listed toward the bottom of the "Technotes and FAQs" page for the respective product (see links at the bottom of the Wiki homepage), or from the "What's new" link seen under the product in the Updates section of the CONNECTION Client.

Check the CONNECTION Client

Starting with the CONNECT Edition of the OpenFlows products, the CONNECTION Client will show you if a newer version is available. You will need to be using version 10.XX.XX.XX or higher, with the CONNECTION Client open and signed in. You may also need to check if you have download permissions assigned to your Bentley account (see link above for details on downloading).

Note: If a user has version 10.04.00.108 of the water products installed, 2023 will not show up in the Updates section of the Connection Client as an available upgrade, because the designated architecture changed from 32-bit to 64-bit on the download site for this version. For the storm and sewer products this occurred between 10.03 and 10.04.

Check the Release Announcements Blog

New release announcements are posted on our Blog. From the OpenFlows Community homepage, click Release Announcements:

Announcements for the most recent releases will show at the tope. Click to view details.

Once you know that a new version is available, you can download it from the Software Download website. See: Downloading OpenFlows / Hydraulics and Hydrology Software

Note that you will need to have download permissions on your Bentley account in order to download software from the Software Download website.  Typically such permissions are granted to the designated Site Administrator of your organization, typically in your IT or Helpdesk department.
