Problem

When attempting to compute a model, it fails with a red user notification that only has the hashtag (pound #) sign in the "Message" column:

Solution

This has been known to occur if a valid, commercial or academic license is not properly activated. See past forum discussions:

First, check under File > Help > About. A valid account name, account ID, license type and license status should be showing here for valid, commercial or academic license. If not, close the program and follow the process (and troubleshooting steps, if needed) in the following article: Licensing OpenFlows products - Subscription Entitlement Service

Notably ensure that a feature level is selected in the Feature Level Selector and that the Bentley Licensing Tool shows that the product is activated.
