ContextCapture License Checkout Procedure


As a regular ContextCapture user, you may have the requirement to work remotely outside a regular network. To achieve this, the use will need to use the license checkout tool.

 Contextcapture desktop By default, the license is checked out for one year. If desired the duration can be set for any amount of time up to one year.

We recommend that a license is checked out for a maximum 3-month period. This will ensure that users receive notification and new releases of the products when they become available.

ContextCapture Center the same rules apply and you are required to checkout individual licenses for any additional ContextCapture Engines.

Product licenses can be locked to the computer for extended use apart from an Internet connection. The Checkout License tab provides this functionality.

The top pane provides a list of licenses. Although it shows two rows by default, the window can be made taller by dragging the window handle in the lower right corner. Additionally, columns can be filtered by clicking the filter icon as shown below.

To check out a license:

 First thing: Select your product in the top pane.

  1. Specify an expiration date using the calendar icon located along the right edge.
  2. Select a valid version from the list or manually enter the four-part version number corresponding to the version of your product.
  3. Click the Checkout button.

To return a license:

The bottom pane displays a list of licenses locked to the computer. To return a license prior to the expiration date, select it in the bottom pane, and click the Check-in button.
