To ensure a smooth transition of work and effectiveness of your daily workflows with ContextCapture, we have assembled information that you can refer to while working remotely or from home. We are working hard to deliver high levels of customer service, and welcome feedback, questions, and ideas on how we can serve you better in a remote work environment.
Home installation
You may decide to install the software on your home computer. If you do this, once signed in via the CONNECTION Client using your normal work email login, you will have the same licenses available as you do in the office.
Remote Access Procedure
Access using Windows Remote Desktop is not supported.
Applications such as TeamViewer or similar must be used.
ContextCapture Desktop, The remote application must be installed and configured on the local and remote system. The remote system must be switched on with remote application running.
ContextCapture Center, with two or more Engines the user must have the remote aapplication installed and running on all systems using ContextCapture Master/ Engines.
Working from home using your own Computer
Please ensure that your machine meets or exceeds the minimum hardware requirements for ContextCapture, see next topic below
Warning: the number of licenses in use must never exceed the purchased entitlement i.e. users must not run a single license of the application on their home and office computers concurrently. To do so will incur over usage charges.

- You need to be a CONNECTED user to download and use ContextCapture.
- During of installation of ContextCapture, the CONNECTION Client will be installed too. The Bentley CONNECTION Client is the heart of the Subscription Entitlement Service Licensing system on any workstation. This provides the mechanism for the Bentley applications to operate against your company settings.
- After initial connection, you can check out a licence to work offline, refer to ContextCapture License Checkout Procedure
