Overview

The SBEM calculation engine performs a comprehensive check on U-Values for external and internal surfaces. Internal surfaces can and will appear on the Compliance Report.

Method

An internal surface can be flagged as "Maximum value" surface under the following conditions:

From CAD Input, examine the Room data and compare the zone to surrounding zones.

From CAD Input, examine the Surface data and check the partition connection.

From within PartL, check that your HVAC is specified correctly for each zone

The following figures are used for the reference building. You should ensure your fabric data is within these limits.

Note that the U-Value checks are area weighted.

The Data Reflection report is a useful debug tool for examining what data is passed into the SBEM calculation.
