Starting with OpenRoads SignCAD 2023, the SignCAD To DGN graphics import functionality in OpenRoads Designer (ORD) has changed. Users requested the ability to put signs and dimensions on separate levels and so the default graphic grouping feature when importing or pasting signs from SignCAD into ORD was removed. Users can still manually group sign elements and/or dimensions in ORD after importing them.
Here are the details:
1. Previous Behavior:
Previously, when importing or pasting SignCAD graphics into ORD, the elements were automatically grouped together as a graphic group.
2. Current Behavior:
With the recent rewrite of our import tool, the automatic grouping feature has been removed to allow users to put the sign and dimensions on separate levels. Users can now import SignCAD graphics individually as well as quickly group them in ORD.
3. User Instructions:
After importing SignCAD graphics, follow these steps to group them:
Select the desired elements.
Press Ctrl + G to create a graphic group.
