Work Categories* are an attribute of Activities and Events that is used to classify different work types (e.g., Diary, Cost code, Variation, Work Package, etc.). Work Categories can be used to filter and group data, and for reporting.
- Select Settings > Project > Work Categories.

- Select Add Work Category.
- Enter the Work Category Name.
- Select Create Work Category or select Create and Add Another to create additional Work Categories.
- To edit a Work Category, click on the
icon to the right of any existing Work Category. - Edit the Work Category Name and select Update Work Category.
- To delete a Work Category, click on the
icon.
If a Work Category has a grey icon
, there are existing Activities associated with the Work Category and it cannot be deleted.
*Work Category is also referred to as Work Reference Category.
