Problem Description

The shear strength provided by shear reinforcement (Vs) was calculated using an incorrect effective depth. The defect resulted in unconservative shear capacities.

Reason

The effective depth was calculated using the column dimensions and clear bar cover only, but not the diameter of the shear or vertical reinforcement. The correct effective depth was used to calculated the shear strength provided by the concrete (Vc).

Solution

Problem corrected in version 15.04.00.00.
