Problem Description

In some cases, the program read incorrect phiMn values from the P-M interaction surface. Observed differences were as much as 30% in the cases that were investigated. These differences may have lead to column design failures that should not have occurred. The problem affected all ACI design codes.

A large column with a small major axis moment and a large minor axis moment was one of the conditions associated with the problem. In many case, the incorrect values were easy to detect. For example, note how the interaction curve is near 0 at low axial loads in the image below.
