Problem:
Word output report generates individual files but does not combine into a single file when using AutoPIPE, why?
Steps to repeat:
-
User opens model using AutoPIPE, example- v.12.08.03.015
-
Analyze the model
-
Open Word out report tab in report manager
-
Select all available reports including complete model listing and generate the output report
-
Observe that all of the report sections are printed to individual files in the folder. However, at no time are all of the individual files combined into a single WORD file.
Solution:
The issue is basically because the application is run into an out of memory exception. AutoPIPE Word reports first generates the individual sub reports and then merges them all into a single Word file. For fairly large models, the merging of word reports results in empty report because it goes out of range for the application (1162381).
Avoidance:
The workaround for this would be to generate each report individually or generate reports with similar sub-reports information.
Report Combination Example:
1) Combine code compliance with Analysis Summary
2) Code Compliance with result summary
3) General Pipe Stress
4) Displacement
5) flexible joints , support , flange summary , reference loads , restraint (as they have less data as compared to code compliance, displacement, general stress)
and so on
