Problem:

The following message appears when generating a report containing Equipment sub-report or when using Report Manager, and the application freezes, why?

(Preparing Equipment Report)

Steps to repeat:

1. Open model

2. Analyze the model

3. Generate a complete model input listing without issue.

4. Program will crash / freeze when any results output includes Equipment sub-report

Solution:

In one reported case, problem was directly related to the specified node points used in the Rotating Equipment dialog. The indicated node points were not in the model or not an anchor / reference point.

Workaround:

In order to fix this issue, use one of the following:

1. Delete the rotating equipment and re-enter the component using correct settings
  - or
2. Open the rotating equipment dialog and adjust the settings using valid node points and options.

Note: If the model contains more than one Rotating Equipment, review all.

Example approach for modifying an existing Rotating Equipment component

1. Select the Suction point (Select > Point > C00)

2. Add Reference Point (Insert > Reference Point > OK)

3. Repeat step 1 & 2 for Point D05.

4. Modify the Equipment WC (Modify > Rotating Equipment > WC)

5. Select the cell having C00 , enter edit mode and then exit the cell. Then click OK to save the changes.

6. Analyze the model

7. Generate Output Report for equipment (or all sub-reports), Press OK button

8. Report will now be generated successfully.
