Error Message

After installing RAM Elements, when opening the program, the following message may appear "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more details"

Explanation

This message could be related to some issues in the Windows registry. This may occur  from an unsuccessful installation or uninstallation of RAM Elements.

Solution

Uninstall all the instances of RAM Elements from Control Panel -> Programs & Features and reinstall the software. While reinstalling, right-click on the re#####en.exe and select the option "Run an Administrator". This ensures that the files are properly registered.
