If the Beams exists at support level of the structure, can it be designed in STAAD Advanced Concrete Design (RCDC)?
Yes, if the Beams are present at support level, STAAD Advanced Concrete Design (RCDC) can still read and design these beams. During import of beams from STAAD.Pro to RCDC, the later shows all the beam levels available in the STAAD.Pro file. When designing the beams at the support level, user can check the box "Consider Beam at Foundation Level" as shown in the picture below
Columns above the support level are then considered as supports for these beams and accordingly beam design/drawings are generated.
