When opening files in MicroStation V8i, text that was previously hidden behind other elements (such as a shape with fill) now display on top of those elements (even though the text was drawn first and the shape was drawn second).
In MicroStation V8i, text now renders on the screen after other elements. For this reason, text that is at the same elevation (for 3D files) or of the same Element Priority (for 2D files) displays on top of other elements. This can easily be adjusted by adjusting the elevation of the text in 3D files, or adjusting the Element Priority in 2D files.
This prevents text with background from overlapping other text when placed too closely together.
