Problem

How to use a cell for Place note terminator?
How to set a cell as the terminator used with the Place Note tool?

Solution

Set "Place Note" terminator to cell and specify the cell name in Terminator Symbols category of Dimension Styles dialog.

1. Open Dimension Styles (Element > Dimension Styles).
1. Go to the "Place Note" category and set Terminator to Cell (the last option in the pull down).
2. Go to the "Terminator Symbols" category and set Note to Cell and specify the Cell name.

Note:
When a dimension is placed, the specified cell is placed as a shared cell, so its definition must exist in the design file.
