I need to determine the coordinates where two members intersect.
The Intersect Selected Beams tool can be used to add a node at a location which can provide the coordinates of this location.
If beams intersect, they will be selected. Otherwise, a dialog message will inform you that no beams intersect given the tolerance value used.
Alternatively, you can manually select the beams.
The Intersect Members dialog opens.
A new node is added at this location. You can view the coordinates in the Nodes table.
Tip: Press <Shift+N> to display the node numbers.
Tip: You can view nodal coordinates in a tooltip using the Nodes Cursor tool. First, select the Structural Tooltip Options tool in the Options group on the View ribbon tab. In the Tool Tip Options dialog, check the Coordinates option and then click OK.
If you do not need to retain this node, then you can either:
