How to place a dimension between two parallel curves (so it appears as image 1 below)
Steps to Accomplish
Option 1
- Use Dimension Arc Distance tool
- To use, go to the menu Tools > Dimensions > Radial Dimensions > Dimension Arc Distance
- Click on first curve, then second curve and place dimension
Option 2
- Start the Dimension Linear tool with Alignment set to True
- Using Snap Nearest, snap the start of dimension to one of the curves
- Select Snap Perpendicular and snap to the second curve
- Place the dimension
