How to print Filled Elements that are in Master file but not in its Reference(s)

Background

Having created a Sheet Model containing Reference(s) of which both contain Filled elements, when printing all Filled elements are printed. In certain situations, the Fill in the References is not required to be printed but the Fill in the Sheet Model is required.

Steps to Accomplish

Option 1 Changing the Reference Presentation

The reference file presentation can be changed prior to printing, the down side with this method is the need to reset once printed if not required to be a permanent change.

  1. Open the References dialog

  2. Select the Reference(s) to be affected and in the ‘Presentation’ column, select the Presentation Style

  3. Turn on the ‘Use View Flags’ toggle

  4. Turn off the ‘Fill’ option (Toggle others as required)

  5. Select OK

The view should be updated with the Reference no longer displaying filled elements and can then be printed.

Option 2 Use a Pen Table to Re-symbolize the Filled elements in the Reference(s)

Using a Pen Table once created can be attached as required, will not affect the Design elements.
