- The user needs to download the STAAD Foundation Advanced 2023 Installer from the Bentley Software downloads page.
- She/he needs to ensure that she/he has administrative rights to install the software.
- Now, she/he needs to right click on the downloaded installer and select "Run as administrator".
- The following message box pops up. The user needs to say "Yes". Clicking on "No" will stop the installation process and make the message box go away.
- Once she/he has clicked on "Yes" in step 4, you will see that the setup is being initialized.
- The following box will now be displayed.
The user needs to specify the installation directory. By default, the installation directory will be C:\Program Files\Bentley\Engineering\STAAD Foundation Advanced 2023\. However the user can choose his own custom location as the installation directory with help of the button that is highlighted in the above figure.
Once the installation folder is specified, the user needs to click on "I accept the End User License Agreement". The phrase "License Agreement" has a hyperlink which, if clicked will lead the user to the license agreement.
Once the check box related to license agreement acceptance is clicked, the "Next" button becomes active. The user needs to click on the "Next" button.
- When the user clicks on the "Next" button in step 6, the following window which lists the components that will be installed, will be displayed.
Also, the user may note that there are two versions of STAAD Foundation Advanced that is packed in the installer. Their names are highlighted in the picture above.
One is the new generation STAAD Foundation Advanced, and which is known as STAAD Foundation Advanced 2023. To know more about it's capabilities, please click here. Click on the "Install" button to start the installation.
The user will see the installer automatically going through the installation process.
- Once the installation is complete, the user will need to say "Finish" to complete the installation.
- On completion of the installation, the user will be able to see the desktop icons of both STAAD Foundation Advanced V9 and STAAD Foundation Advanced 2023, if he has not opted out of installing the desktop icon in step 7 above.
