QUESTION: How to import the Custom Beam LEAP Bridge Steel (LBS)?
ANSWER:
Please follow this procedure:
- In OBD version 10.12.or earlier you need to store the custom beam paths in a GPK file.
- Then, we added the option to import MXRoad *.fil files.
- In OBD version 2023 we added the option to import the beam paths from an LandXML file
- To save the beam paths in a civil format (GPK, FIL or XML)
- Open LBS and click on "Read from Civil/LandXML" and import the beam path form the GPK, FIL, or LandXML file.

- Then, under superstructure à Candidate Beam Path select the alignment and the beam path, and the program will highlight that information in the View.

- Then, in the member group, select Candidate Beam Path in front of PATH option and assign the imported alignments representing the beam paths to respective beams
