Insufficient memory to render view
When saving an image (or animation) MicroStation reports "Insufficient memory to render view".
Reason:
This is a simple message that reports after MicroStation evaluates the available memory on the system and finds there is not enough. Images are built entirely in memory. The Rendering mode, resolution and detail in the model (curved elements) directly effect the memory requirements.
Possible Solutions:
- Increase Virtual Memory on system.
- Add additional Physical Memory to system.
- If using Ray Tracing, enable "Limit Memory" in Ray Tracing settings.
- For image saving, Toggle on Banded Rendering, it is specifically designed to overcome memory limitations.
Notes:
-Banded Rendering does not support .JPG format.
