Background

Raster image does not display or is slow to display.

This may occur due to MicroStation recreating the raster image cache file(s) (.CTIFF).

The raster image files should display much faster the next time if you perform the following steps:

How to solve

1. Open MicroStation
2. Go into:
   1. (V8i) Workspace > Preference > Raster Manager > Memory (tab)
   2. (CONNECT Edition) > Settings > User > Preference > Raster Manager > Memory (tab)
3. Change setting from Automatic to Standard
4. Close the Preferences window
5. Open Raster Manager (File > Raster Manager)
6. Go to Settings > Cache Manager and click the View Files button
7. Leave that window open but exit MicroStation
8. Delete all .CTIFF and TMP files
9. Re-open MicroStation and open the file
