Other Crash Dumps
Windows Error Reporting (WER) is a flexible event-based feedback infrastructure designed to gather information about the hardware and software problems that Windows can detect.
Beginning with Windows Vista, Windows provides crash, no response, and kernel fault error reporting by default without requiring changes to your application.
When a crash occurs, Exception Logs (exception.log, Minidump.dmp files) are created. Please refer to this article for how to collect and send the logs, dumps to Bentley Technical Support
In some cases we don’t find the Exception Logs. With recent Windows versions, Windows Error Reporting (WER) creates Crash Dumps.
Refer to the following procedure for how to collect and send the dumps to Bentley Technical Support
• Open File Explorer and key-in %localappdata%\CrashDumps\
• Collect following DMP files from the above folder
Bentley.Licensing.Service.exe.11780.dmp
microstation.exe.25932.dmp
Note: This folder has dmp files from other applications. Collect latest DMP files from only known Bentley applications.
