When trying to delete the project using ProjectWise Explorer:

Error Information

Error deleting a folder.
Error deleting a folder. A folder has documents which can not be removed. Remove those documents first.

When trying to delete the ect.fid file using ProjectWise Explorer:

Document Delete Failed
Error -1 while deleting document "ect.fid".
Error message is:
Substation ProjectWise information.
Cannot remove the Electrical project configuration file.

Explanation

While Electrical projects can be created using ProjectWise Explorer, they must be deleted using [[Project Manager]].

How to Avoid

Option 1 - Use Project Manager

1. Open [[Project Manager]]

2. Find the project, right-click it and select Delete.

Option 2 - Upon a partial or improper project deletion

1. Ensure Option 1 above does not work.
2. Open ProjectWise Explorer.
3. Right-click the project's folder and select Revert to Folder. This may require higher level permissions.
4. Delete the project's folder.
