Error or Warning Message
In Promis.e SELECTseries 8, when trying to migrate a Legacy Symbol Catalog such as from Promis.e 5.05, 5.06, AERO I or AERO II, the following warning message occurs:

Source catalog is not an ACAD catalog, please select an ACAD catalog.
Explanation
This message occurs because Promis.e V8i SELECTseries 8 does not support migration of Legacy Promis.e data prior to Promis.e 2007. Promis.e V8i SELECTseries 7 (08.11.12.137) is the last version to include the ability to migrate data from promis.e 5.0x, Aero, and Aero II.
How to Avoid

You will need to migrate the old Legacy files to a Promis.e version that supports those formats. The most recent version of Promis.e to support the older Legacy files is Promis.e V8i SELECTseries 7 (08.11.12.137). Once you have a compatible Promis.e version installed, you should follow the steps from the [[Migrating Legacy Data To promis.e]] article to migrate the legacy files.

Once the files have been migrated successfully in the compatible Promis.e V8i version, they can be moved to Promis.e V8i Selectseries 8.
