Error or Warning Message

"Invalid Cell Library", "format version not supported", or "is not a recognized file format" message appears in a pop-up or in the status bar when trying to attach a cell or reference file or otherwise incorporate non-native drawing files.

Explanation

These types of messages indicate that the source material being attached, inserted, or imported is not compatible with the platform. 

How to Avoid

Often, saving the source file in the format of an older or newer version using the application that created the file will make the file compatible.
