Description

When user tries to delete property value from Element Information which carries the units such as Temperature, Pressure, Length etc. an error message appears as shown below.

User can modify the value to 0 but cannot clear the property entirely.

Reason behind this error message is that the type of this property is 'double' and EC Framework doesn't support this operation in case of double type properties.

Solution

1. Select the component for which the property has to be cleared.
2. Go to Utilties>Key-In. Apply key-in 'pid component clearecproperties' command and hit Enter.
   
   
   
   
3. Select the component in the left pane.
   
   
   
   
4. Now select the property on the right side which is to be cleared.
   
   
   
   
5. Click the Clear button, property value will be cleared.
   
   
   
   
6. Check the property in element info dialog.
