What's New Highlights for ProStructures 2023

General Updates:

• Rebranding from ProStructures CONNECT Edition to ProStructures 2023 Since brand is an integral part of the application identity, rebranding ProStructures CONNECT Edition to ProStructures 2023 results in several changes to the default installation directories, registry entries, executables and many other aspects of the application. References to 'CONNECT Edition' were replaced with '2023' which refers to current year. The ProStructures 2023 rebranding does not impact or change the Building Information Modeling feature set available in the product and is both the next update release and successor to ProStructures CONNECT Edition Update 7.2, ProStructures CE, and ProStructures 2023 can coexist on the same computer, please refer side-by-side installation wiki.

It includes updates from MicroStation 2023.1

• Security Improvements
  • Combit version has been upgraded from LL24 to LL28. As a result, we have introduced modifications to both the ProStructures and Combit user interfaces (UI). To know more about the upgrade read the following:

    • Parts List Menus
    • Alternative Methods to Export to Adobe PDF format

Installer Update: 

Side-by-side Installation allows you to adopt ProStructures 2023 without upgrading your current installation of ProStructures CONNECT Edition mid-project. For more information regarding configurations, please refer to refer the Side-by-side Installation wiki.

             **If you already have a previous version of ProStructures on your machine, ProStructures 2023 will install as a separate application.** 

Usability and Productivity Enhancement:

Usability and the overall user experience in ProStructures is a key focus for our team. The following usability improvements were implemented:

• Improved saved views and level display functionality so that it will not impact 2D details.
• Enhanced beam-to-beam stiffer connections to handle bolts grouping logically.
• Updated configuration variables to resolve the correct worksets path.
• Enhanced ProSteel Trim functionality to generate consistent NC output.
• Corrected NC output to handle not to generate negative KO value for contour marking.
• Handled DXF creation from available DGN with plates.
• Improved overall product stability to handle file opening issues.

Update via CONNECTION Client:

If you have any earlier version of ProStructures already installed on your computer, you can incrementally download and install ProStructures 2023 from the CONNECTION Client, then ProStructures 2023 will be advertised as an update from the CONNECTION Client. However, it will NOT replace any earlier versions of the product and install it as a separate instance of ProStructures with the root directories C:\Program Files\Bentley\ProStructures 2023 and C:\ProgramData\Bentley\ProStructures 2023.

Sign-in to the CONNECTION Client to view and apply your application updates. If needed, please refer to the CONNECTION Client help for more information on installing the update.
